Escalate

A moving escalator is projected directly onto the ground. Visitors can walk with it, walk against it, or step outside the image while its steps continue without them.

Visitors can move with the projection, move against it, or step outside it, briefly appearing to choose their direction through time. The steps continue regardless, carrying the image forward after the viewer leaves.
